Gil has been coordinating the Toys for Tots program in Lancaster County, PA for approximately 38 years. Lancaster County's population is around 550,000 people. It is a very active program and while it takes many people to pull this off every year, Gil has been the heart and soul of this program for decades. His Marine Corps background in supply makes him a natural fit for the Toys for Tots program. To give an idea of the scope of this program, according to local news reporting, Gil's Toys for Tots program provided over 63,000 toys for 15,000 needy children in 2023. He is approximately 72 years of age and is taking a step back now, but he is still the co-coordinator for the program. It is a great honor to have his efforts recognized as an outstanding Marine and significant contributor to his local community for decades.
