Jack Bergman, decorated Marine, retired Marine Corps lieutenant general and distinguished public servant, has dedicated over five decades to serving his nation in both military and civilian capacities.

Born in Shakopee, Minnesota, Bergman earned a Bachelor of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1969 and later obtained an MBA from the University of West Florida. Commissioned into the U.S. Marine Corps in 1969, he embarked on a 40-year military career, flying CH-46 helicopters during the Vietnam War and later piloting various fixed-wing aircraft, including the T-28 and KC-130. His leadership roles spanned from commanding the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing to serving as the Commanding General of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces North from 2005 to 2009. Bergman also chaired the Secretary of the Navy's Marine Corps Reserve Policy Board from 2001 to 2003. 

After retiring from the Marine Corps in 2009, Bergman sought public service and was elected in 2016 to represent Michigan's 1st congressional district, which encompasses the entire Upper Peninsula and parts of the northern Lower Peninsula. As the highest-ranking combat veteran ever elected to the U.S. House of Representatives,  he brings firsthand military experience to his legislative work. Bergman serves on the Armed Services Committee, the Veterans' Affairs Committee, and the Budget Committee, where he chairs the Oversight Task Force. 

Residing in Watersmeet, Michigan with his wife Cindy, Bergman is a father of five children and has ten grandchildren. His enduring commitment to service continues to shape his efforts to advocate for veterans, strengthen national defense and uphold the values that define the American spirit.

Kevin Grayer has dedicated his life to public service, demonstrating unwavering commitment both in the U.S. Marine Corps and in law enforcement.

Born in Allegan, Michigan, Grayer moved to Adrian at the age of eight and graduated from Adrian High School in 1983. He served 13 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. 

Following his military service, Grayer returned to Adrian, where he served as a community liaison officer for Adrian Public Schools, fostering strong relationships between the police department and the community. His dedication to public safety led him to the Raisin Township Police Department, where he became Chief of Police. 

In recognition of his commitment to community service, Grayer received the 2020 Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Award, which recognizes individuals for their values of service, equality, and selflessness through volunteerism activities. 

Chief Grayer continues to lead the Raisin Township Police Department with integrity and dedication, showcasing the values of service and community engagement.
