TEXAS

Jason Dice, Gunnery Sergeant
Gunnery Sergeant Jason Dice taught me and got me through two deployments in Afghanistan.  He always talked about family, faith, and service. Fifteen years later, we still do. Jason took the skill set given to him by the Marine Corps and never forgot it. His life after military service was based on Marine Corps values. He worked for a Jewish organization in Los Angeles as a security consultant and now works in Texas doing security and threat assessments for faith-based organizations throughout the southwest.
Jason continues to serve and protect others as a calling and commitment to what was given to him by the Marine Corps. A very humble fellow.
Honorable Marine. Great friend.
Protector of life and warrior.
The epitome of USMC.
People like us don’t like to be somewhere else when bad things happen.
That’s Jason Dice and me.
Always Faithful.

Staff Sergeant Martha Morrison

Martha (Mo) was stationed in Camp Pendleton, CA from 2006-2010. In 2006, she was in a non-deployable unit, Weapons Field Training Battalion, Edson Range. In 2009, she received Temporary Additional Duty and deployed with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit. She served in Marine Reserve status at the 4th Supply Battalion, 4TH MLG in Raleigh, Marine Aircraft Group-41, and Combat Logistics Battalion 451 in Charlotte, NC. After her time in the reserve, she decided she wanted to join the active force again and was accepted to serve at Wounded Warrior Battalion-East in Camp Lejeune, NC from 2016-2019.

She is the program coordinator of Merging Vets and Players Dallas Chapter, a peer support program for veterans and athletes, helping them find purpose after the uniform comes off. She leads weekly sessions, monthly events, and collaborates with many local partners including the Dallas Cowboys to bring impactful wellness events for the community and fundraisers for the organization.

Cpl (Ret.) Jack Goodroe

My husband was critically wounded in April 2004 while serving in Husaybah, Iraq. Since returning home, he has exemplified what it means to be a servant leader. Jack has dedicated over 12 years to supporting his fellow veterans as a volunteer and advisory board member for Warrior Benefit. For the past four years, he has also served as both a board member and committed volunteer with Impact A Hero. Most recently, Jack has been volunteering as a diver, assisting with search and recovery efforts in the Hill Country following the devastating July 4th flooding. He will be making his fifth trip to help this coming weekend. He is the person friends and neighbors turn to when they need a hand — always offering help without judgment and without expectation of recognition.
